Adobe Systems is a US software company. It was founded in 1982 by John Warnock and Charles Geschke, the inventors of the page description language PostScript. The name Adobe (span. and narrow. "clay brick") derives from a river called Adobe Creek, which ran behind Warnock's house in Los Altos, California.
