Castelli has been developing cycling clothing for over 100 years, combining innovation, tradition and a passion for cycling with high-quality materials and first-class design. The roots of the renowned clothing manufacturer with the well-known scorpion in its logo go back to 1876, when the talented tailor Vittore Gianni began producing sportswear in the heart of Milan. In 1910, the fashion label produced cycling clothing for the first time - specially developed for the five-time winner of the Giro d'Italia Alfredo Binda and later for the legendary Fausto Coppi. Since then, Castelli has revolutionised the professional peloton and developed the most important cycling innovations - including the first Lycra cycling shorts made of highly elastic synthetic fibres, the first coloured cycling shorts, the first jersey with sublimation print, the trisuit, the first winter clothing made of synthetic material, the first anatomical seat pad, the first collection for women and the lightest, most aerodynamic jersey and much more.
