Intel

Intel Corporation (Integrated electronics) is a US semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Santa Clara, California. It was founded in 1968 by employees of Fairchild Semiconductor. Intel is best known for its PC microprocessors, where it has a global market share of approximately 80%. Intel also produces various other types of microchips for computers, such as chipsets for mainboards ("Intel ICH", "Intel GMA"), WLAN and network cards, as well as embedded CPUs and flash memory (SSDs).
