In 1976, Performance Health introduced the first proprietary consumer product: TheraBand, a line of advanced progressive resistance bands. The first Theraband product relied on a revolutionary design concept and utilized a proprietary color spectrum to accurately indicate resistance and provide consistent progression in patient rehabilitation.
TheraBand professional resistance bands are the industry's first progressive resistance system. Meanwhile, offerings under this brand also include tubing, loops, latex-free products and other configurations as the leading line of progressive elastic resistance products. The TheraBand product portfolio has been expanded to include exercise balls, stability balls, FlexBars, a range of movement, massage and hand therapy products.
