Wolf-Garten

Wolf-Garten is a brand for garden machinery and garden tools, fertilisers, lawn seeds and other garden accessories of the US-based MTD Group.
The company was founded in 1922 by August Wolf and his sons Gregor and Otto as a hardware factory in Betzdorf (Rhineland-Palatinate), where the headquarters were located until 2010. Wolf-Garten most recently had nine sales companies in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Production took place at three locations in Germany (Betzdorf, St. Wendel/Saarland, Etzbach).

In April 2009, it was announced that the US company MTD Products was taking over Wolf Garten. The parent company MTD Inc. is, according to its own statements, one of the world's largest manufacturers of motor garden equipment. Since the takeover was completed, Wolf Garten now exists only as a brand of MTD based in Saarbrücken.
