About the artist: Haruyo Morita is a Japanese artist who spent her early career as a kimono painter and designer. In 1972, she turned to painting on canvas. Her work can best be described as a contemporary representation of traditional Ukiyo-e, spanning from the Heian to the Edo and Meiji periods. Haruyo's works have been extensively exhibited and sold worldwide.
