RTX 4090 connector can catch fire and damage the card
On Reddit, several users show melted connection plugs of the latest Nvidia graphics card. This has led to defects for two users.
Imagine you are playing your favourite game. Suddenly, the screen goes black and the fans of the graphics card start spinning. You look into your computer and see that the graphics card is on fire. That's what happened to Reddit user u/reggie_gakil with his new RXT 4090.
The user is not alone in this. In the meantime (as of 25.10.2022), two other users report the same problem: The new 16-pin connector - more precisely: 12VHPWR - melts due to the heat.
