Power over Ethernet (PoE) is a technology that allows network-capable devices to be powered with electricity as well as data through the network cable. This eliminates the need for a power supply at the device and enables installation in locations where there is no power outlet available. This results in significant savings potential for installation and operating costs. The ALLNET LT PoE products support the IEEE802.3af standard with a power output of 15.4 watts, the IEEE802.3at High Power standard with 30 watts, and the LT PoE standard with 90 watts of power. Active PoE devices are automatically detected by the ALLNET product series and supplied with power according to their individual requirements. By combining switches/injectors, repeaters, and splitters, distances of over 500 meters are possible. Additionally, non-PoE devices at the end of the line can be powered with up to 25 V. Standard CAT6 cables can be used.
