Product details
The bintec W2022ac is an access point that adheres to the current 802.11ac standard and supports MU-MIMO (Multiple User MIMO). The MU-MIMO technology allows mobile devices with only one antenna to utilize all transmission streams from an access point. Compared to first-generation 802.11ac access points that only support SU-MIMO (Single User MIMO), twice as many mobile devices can connect to the bintec W2022ac without any loss in performance, effectively doubling the overall performance. With the release 2.2.1.1, we have not only expanded the functionality but also improved the security methods. The W2022ac now supports WPA3-Personal and WPA3-Enterprise. Additionally, the WPA3/2 mode has been added to ensure compatibility with older clients. For guest networks and public hotspots, there is now the secure Opportunistic Wireless Encryption method (OWE) to encrypt traffic between a WLAN client and the access point. Together with the WLAN controller integrated into the ALL-IP system be.IP, the setup process becomes a breeze. Larger installations can be realized either with a WLAN controller installed on an RS series router or, for more demanding WLAN solutions, with a WLAN controller installed on an RXL series router. Furthermore, the bintec W2022ac is already prepared for the new bintec SD-WAN solution be.SDx.
