Six dye-based inks enhance photo print quality. The additional red and gray inks increase color brilliance and contrast, ensuring minimal color deviations regardless of the photo paper used. The high-yield inks provide an impressive page output – a set of bottles is sufficient for approximately 3,800 photo prints in 10 x 15 cm format, meaning that the inks need to be refilled less frequently. The printer is very easy to operate, and the front-facing ink tanks make it easy to monitor ink levels. The ink bottles do not need to be squeezed, and they have a unique connector shape, making refilling straightforward. The two-line LCD display simplifies navigation through the functions. The user-replaceable print head and maintenance cartridge minimize downtime, and the Auto Power On/Off function helps save energy. Wi-Fi connectivity allows printing via the Canon Print App, Mopria, or AirPrint, as well as wireless connection to a PC, laptop, or Canon Wi-Fi camera.
