With Power over Ethernet, you can power compatible devices over the network cable. Especially for endpoints such as wireless access points, IP phones, and IP cameras, this reduces cabling complexity while giving you flexibility in endpoint placement.
802.3at PoE+
The IEEE 802.3at standard provides a maximum of 25.4 watts of power on each PoE+ port with a voltage of up to 50 volts. The standard assumes that 21.90 watts of usable power remains or may be consumed after line losses so as not to exceed the maximum power output. For PoE+ a Cat5e/6 cable with a maximum length of 100m is recommended.
