Samyang

The user of APS-C cameras often gets into the dilemma of extended focal length due to the crop factor. This means that supposed wide-angle lenses do not represent what the nominal value of the lens promises.

Here Samyang provides 12 mm F2.0 with the Samyang. This fixed focal length, specially developed for MFT and APS-C cameras, is the ideal wide-angle reportage lens for users of mirrorless system cameras and smaller DSLR cameras. Thanks to the 1:2.0 light intensity, this lens provides enough reserves to take pictures out of your hand even in poor light situations. But also friends of landscape or nature photography will get their money's worth.

A close-up limit of just 20 cm allows for creative design and composition possibilities. No matter whether it is a portrait, a situation at an event or the sunset to be captured on the sensor.

For this manually focussed 12mm lens for FUJI X: 12 lenses in 10 groups. Two of the lenses are aspherical to avoid image errors. They are supported by an ED lens. So the so-called ghosting and possible aberrations are almost impossible. This lens stands for crisp contrasts and balanced colour rendering. For this purpose, the glasses have been multi-coated to ensure maximum light transmission. Nano-coatings on the outer lenses are additional guarantees for a minimum of reflections.

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
