Das Objektiv bietet die kürzeste Brennweite und damit den stärksten Blickwinkel unter den drei neuen Weitwinkelobjektiven von Tamron für das Sony-E-Vollformat. Dennoch ist die Neuvorstellung erstaunlich kompakt und leicht, reizt also auch hier die Vorteile der spiegellosen Systemkameras aus.
