shielding dimension

The shielding dimension describes the tightness of the shield of a coaxial cable. This characteristic indicates how many parts of the signal on the coaxial cable are radiated from the inside to the outside and vice versa. The higher the shielding, the better the quality of the glider. The shielding dimension is specified in decibels (dB).

Number of shieldings

Good shielding against interfering signals is important so that, for example, the mobile phone does not cause the screen to flicker. The shielding significantly influences the transmission behavior. The shorter the cables, the less problematic the shielding and even inexpensive cables can provide satisfactory services. As a rule, the shielding is only specified in the form of a number by the manufacturer. The more the cable is shielded from magnetic fields, the higher the quality.
