The digital input terminal has 8 channels within a width of only 12 mm. It captures control signals from the field area, for example, via sensors. To suppress interference, a filter is placed in front of each input, with various time constants integrated. The field and system levels are galvanically isolated. Note: The terminal markings 1 - 8 do not correspond to the channel assignment.
