Has anyone tried this adapter on an Android smartphone? Does the HDMI connection work?

Hello Superking

I have the adapter for my Dell XPS 13 and am very happy with it.
Before you asked the question, I would never have thought of trying this in my life.
I tested it with my Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and it works. I connected a 30" 2560x1600 via HDMI to DVI adapter, which surprisingly worked. The screen doesn't have a scaler in it, means the adapter is even smart and feeds my screen the exact resolution it needs to have 2560x1600@60Hz, otherwise this specific screen wouldn't output a signal (it's a dedicated monitor.) It looks a bit pixelated, but works and is usable, even if a bit suboptimal. It just doesn't scale anything as the screen is cloned from the phone.
I have also had mouse and keyboard on the two ports. A mouse pointer is displayed.
However, the Dex mode cannot be activated, but Multi Windows works.

I hope this has helped.
