I have had a QNAP TS-212 with 2 WDC hard disks of 2 TB each for 5 years. I am basically satisfied. However, I have the feeling that the NAS is slow. In addition, there is always an error message that data from the virus scanner cannot be updated. However, the NAS works. My question: -Is a noticeable jump in speed possible with, for example, a TS-451+ with 8GB? Is it worth buying? Hard disks also have to be paid for Many thanks for the help!
I can only agree with Brisofka's vote. When I switched from the original TS-420 (0.5 GB RAM) to TS-451+ (8GB RAM), the performance increased significantly! I now strongly believe that the RAM was the main factor in the performance increase.
