My new Samsung T9 4000 GB loses connection to my equally new and very powerful HP Elite notebook over and over - is that a known issue? I expected much better from such an expensive storage device

I have the same problem with my old HP Pavilion dv7 laptop, during transfers to External HDD or USB sticks, it cuts the USB connection, so it crashes and has even "broken" some HDDs for me (unusable afterwards without formatting, data lost). HDDs (unusable afterwards without formatting, data lost), but these interruptions only occur if the HDD is plugged into one of the USB3 sockets, on the USB2 sockets no interruption (but very slow transfers).
If anyone has an explanation or solution, thank you in advance.

That's interesting. I've been annoyed with my cloud supplier for days because I want to synchronise my data down and there are always sync problems (retry). But I have no hi know from windows that there are interruptions... but also an old HP laptop. How does the interruption manifest itself for you? Is there a message from the operating system?

The problem could be with the laptop. Friends of mine also complain about this problem with their HP laptops. I use the T9 for hours on my Dell XPS17 without interruption.
