On the one hand, the form factor was the deciding factor for me: the docking station has a smaller footprint compared to others, but is heavy enough so that it doesn't just slide around. Another relevant factor for me was the fact that the docking station is not powered via USB-C, but is relatively firmly wired to the underside of the dock.
