The first self-service checkout from Little Tikes features an interactive and realistic design that allows children to pretend they are shopping like adults. The checkout has lights and sounds, as well as interchangeable screen inserts that offer three different play options: grocery store, hardware store, and clothing store.

The hand scanner beeps and lights up when the trigger is pressed. The table scanner beeps and lights up when items are passed over it. When paying with a credit card, both sounds play and light up, and turning the key opens the cash drawer. Additionally, there is a functioning coin dispenser.
