Product details

There’s a little devil in each of us. In this game, you’ll have a devilishly good time annoying your fellow players with number cards to make them earn negative points. Only the player with the most positive points can rejoice in heavenly delight.

Here’s how to play "Diabolo." The five Heaven and Hell cards are placed face up in the center of the table with the trident/harp side showing. Each player receives a Doppler card and six number cards in hand. The remaining cards form a draw pile in the center of the table. When it’s your turn, you first draw a number card from the pile and place one of your hand cards to the left or right of a matching colored Heaven and Hell card. Cards placed to the right of the Heaven and Hell card count as angel points, while those placed to the left count as devil points. This creates five rows of cards. Each row can hold five number cards, with a maximum of three cards on one side. When a row is filled, the Heaven and Hell card is flipped over, now showing the padlock. Once two rows are filled, the game ends and points are awarded. In each individual row, it is checked whether angel points or devil points prevail. If angel points dominate, the player with the most cards of the same color in hand receives positive points. If devil points dominate, the player with the most cards of the same color in hand receives negative points. If there are equal angel and devil points in a color row, it is not counted. If a player has used their Doppler card, their points are doubled. The points are recorded on a score sheet. Then the next game follows. After a predetermined number of games, the player with the most positive points wins.
