Beowulf: Terror in Heorot is a mythological card game that immerses you in the Norse myth of Beowulf and his epic challenge against the monster Grendel. As a group of thanes loyal to King Hrothgar, you must defend the nightly feasts in Heorot against Grendel's relentless attacks. Unfortunately, your troops will never be able to defeat this monstrous being. After four rounds of play, it will ultimately be slain by the brave Beowulf. However, during the feasts, you must do your best to fend off Grendel's assaults by making the most of the cards you draw with your companions. Only one of you will be celebrated as the victor, while the one who suffers the most injuries from Grendel will be deemed defeated at the end of the game and will not partake in the joy of victory or the calculation of victory points. The thane whom Beowulf considers the bravest will be declared the winner and will enjoy King Hrothgar's favor for the rest of his days.
