On the Edge - Expansion for Pandemic (EN), for ages 8 and up

Pandemic - On the Edge is an expansion for the popular cooperative game Pandemic. In this game, players take on the roles of various doctors and experts to work together to find a cure for four dangerous diseases—before the pathogens infect all of humanity.

With seven new roles, new abilities, and eight new special events, "On the Edge" expands the base game with additional options and combinations. Furthermore, up to five players can now join forces against the diseases. Additionally, various challenges can be added, introducing entirely new elements to the game. For instance, in the Mutation Challenge, a fifth, completely unpredictable disease comes into play, or one player competes against the others in the Bio-Terrorist Challenge. In the Viral Strain Challenge, a disease becomes particularly deadly.

This expansion is compatible with the 2013 edition of Pandemic.
