In the party game Poetry for Neanderthals, players become Neanderthals who want to recite cheerful verses, but this proves to be difficult: Neanderthals don't know any words that have more than one syllable. In two teams, players must explain terms within a time limit, using only one-syllable words. Those whose Stone Age vocabulary isn't monosyllabic enough receive a whack with the inflatable No. club.
