Players attempt to knock down or topple the wooden blocks (Kubbs) of the opposing team using throwing sticks.

The traditional playing field size for Kubb is 5 by 8 meters. However, this size can be freely chosen and marked with boundary sticks depending on the players' abilities. Kubb can be played on various surfaces such as grass, sand, snow, or solid ground. The king, who stands in the center of the playing field, must be the last one to be hit.
