In the Alps, farmers drive the cows to the alpine meadows in summer. There, lush grass grows. The animals wear large bells that can be heard from afar. In late summer, the cows are brought back down to the valley. Cows are herd animals. During the day, they eat more than 50 kg of grass and can drink up to 180 liters of water.
