Whoever rolls the highest number of dice gets to start. In the first round, everyone may only roll the dice once, then as often as they like. If you roll a 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, you can put a wooden peg into the free hole in the box lid next to the number you rolled. With a 6, the wooden peg may be inserted into the corresponding hole in the lid and is thus completely out of the game. If a hole for the number rolled is occupied by a wooden peg, the peg must be added to the player's own supply and the turn is over, it is the next person's turn.
