The Kidizoom Smart Watch DX2 does not require a SIM card as it does not support a phone or mobile phone function. It is an educational watch with functions such as camera, games and time display, but no connection to the parent's mobile for beeps or calls is possible. This watch does not support receiving beeps from the parent's mobile.

The instruction manual was small but free. You can also find more information on the net. We had no problems.
