Cut glass fibre serves as a filler for epoxy and polyester resins, significantly increasing the strength of the moulding materials. It can be added to the resin as needed.

Areas of application include fibre putties and moulding compounds, plastic plasters, putties, adhesives, anti-corrosion paints, and as an asbestos substitute.
