Each player takes charge of a research and development site at the Space Research Center. All players recruit the best experts for their team and carry out various space projects, such as launching satellites and manned spacecraft into Earth's orbit or sending interplanetary space stations into space.

The game ends when the players have completed all available projects or when one player has recruited 12 experts to their team. The experts and projects each provide scoring points. The player who has collected the most scoring points wins. So then – as Yuri Gagarin exclaimed at launch – "Pojechali!" (Let's go!)
