10. Levenhuk 2S NG monocular microscope

The Levenhuk 2S NG microscope offers basic features and high-quality optics from Levenhuk at an affordable price – a great choice for beginners interested in biological experiments. With its 200x magnification, it serves as an excellent educational microscope for students and amateurs with scientific ambitions.

With the Levenhuk 2S NG, transparent specimens can be viewed in bright field. The 40 mm plano-concave mirror provides sufficient light, allowing this microscope to operate without mains power. This lighting method is particularly simple and safe, making it ideal for children. The aperture wheel adjusts the necessary amount of light for studying the specimen.

This monocular microscope is equipped with an achromatic objective lens (16x) that delivers a clear image without chromatic aberrations or spherical distortions. In this model, the head is positioned directly above the stage. For added comfort while microscopy, both the head and stage can be tilted to the desired angle using the arm.

The stage, measuring 100 x 90 mm, is perfect for one or two specimens. To prepare a specimen, a sample is placed on the empty slide and then carefully covered with a cover slip. The user then places this slide on the stage and secures it with the specimen clips. Next, the coarse focus knob can be used to move the main tube of the microscope up and down (in 20 mm increments) to achieve a sharp image.

The metal construction makes this microscope robust and stable.
