The glass bead temperature sensors located in the arms of the device measure and regulate the airflow temperature up to 16 times per second. This helps prevent damage from extreme heat and preserves the hair's natural shine.
The Dyson Hyperdymium motor, consisting of 13 blades, runs at up to 106,000 RPM and pushes 11.9 liters of air through the device every second. This generates a pressure of 3.6 kPa – enough to dry and straighten hair simultaneously.
