Hello, the appliance makes a noise and flashes red and it does not switch on. Can someone please tell me what the problem is? Thank you!

3. fail-safe: In the unlikely event of a control system failure, for safety reasons the heaters will switch off, the ghd Platinum+ Styler will beep and the light will flash red every 5 seconds. If this occurs, switch off the ghd Platinum+ Styler at the power supply and restart. If the appliance does not restart or the problem persists, contact ghd customer service.
