Video review: the new Lumix GH6 shoots in 5.7K at 50 frames per second

The new Panasonic Lumix GH6 has arrived. Video producer Manuel Wenk and photographer Thomas Kunz – that’s me – were able to test it out in advance.
I’m a full-frame fan, which is why I’ve kept my hands off Micro Four Thirds cameras until now. However, the Lumix GH6 got my attention. The most impressive part of this feature-filled camera is its excellent video mode, but the video above shows what else the GH6 can do.
The specs:
- New 25.2 MP sensor
- New Venus processor
- Up to 13 stops of dynamic range
- Can record up to four channels of audio simultaneously
- 75 frames per second in raw mode
- Tilt and swivel screen
- Two card slots (CFexpress and SD)
Recording quality:
- 10-bit 5.7K at 50 fps
- 10-bit 4:2:2 4K at 50 fps
- 10-bit 4:2:0 4K at 100 fps
- 10-bit 4:2:2 FHD at 240 fps
- 4:2:2 5.7K Apple ProRes at 25 fps
