Dock for 2 monitors with switchable charging function via USB-C (for PC and Mac)

Hello everyone I currently have an HP docking station and use 2 screens with it and I'm really happy so far. I can connect our devices (Surface and Macbook Air) via USB-C and they charge straight away. That's great, but I don't always want to charge the devices. Even after a long search, I have not come across a docking station that can do the following: - Connection via USB-C - 2 x DisplayPort connections and or HDMI - Works for PC and also ideally Macbook Air / Apple - Charging function via USC-C can also be switched off so that you can work with the 2 monitors without charging the laptop.

    2 screens with different images

Hello everyone. I have a laptop with only one HDMI output and one USB-C without Thunderbolt and without a display port (no video signal transmission). However, I would like to connect 2 monitors with different images. Is there a way to connect 2 monitors with different images using a docking station or adapter? What do I need? Thank you.

USB-C hub for image transfer Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra > ext. monitor, incl. smartphone charging

    > Hello everyone! Can anyone give me a tip on which USB-C hub at Digitec enables image transfer from my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to my external monitor, with simultaneous charging of the smartphone? Thank you! ....... > My first attempt with the Axagon HMC-5G2 USB-C hub (USB-C, 5 ports) was unfortunately unsuccessful. ........' > I was able to use my Windows tablet on the external monitor via this USB-C hub without any problems, but on the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra the image on the external monitor keeps switching to black every 5 seconds or so. .... > Would the i-tec USB-C Nano Dock work (article 11128064)? . --- Details -------------- . >Initial situation: I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 (Ultra) smartphone (Andriod), which I previously connected to my external monitor via an adapter cable (USB-C to DisplayPort). The monitor has DP connection V1.2 (and also DVI connections). This has always worked well, the image from the smartphone was clearly displayed on the monitor. The use of Samsung DEX (desktop extension) also works perfectly. I use a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard for operation. The disadvantage is that I couldn't charge the smartphone at the same time as using the external monitor. So I decided to buy a USB-C hub from Digitec that supports simultaneous use of the external monitor and charging of the smartphone. I opted for the Axagon HMC-5G2 product (USB-C, 5 ports), together with a new DVI cable and USB-C charger 3A. > Test on the Windows tablet: After receiving the USB-C hub, I first carried out the following test: I connected my Microsoft Windows tablet via the USB interface and the newly purchased USB-C hub to the DVI interface of the ext. monitor. And lo and behold, it works. Windows recognises this as a second monitor and I can now work on both screens. So far ok, even the tablet is charged in parallel. > Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra I then wanted to implement the same setup with my Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphone. I connected the USB-C hub to the DVI interface of the external monitor via the smartphone's USB-C interface. And indeed, the image (as a pure mirroring of the Android interface or when using Samsung DEX) is correctly transferred to the external monitor. The smartphone is also charged at the same time. >Misbehaviour: every 5 seconds or so, the monitor goes black for a very short time, then the image is restored. Of course, this is not acceptable. Since the image transfer from the smartphone via the "USB-C to DisplayPort adapter" has worked perfectly so far, I am currently assuming an incompatibility between the newly purchased Axagon HMC-5G2 USB-C hub (USB-C, 5 ports) with the Android operating system or with the Samsung smartphone.

    Docking station

I am looking for a Thunderbolt 4 docking station. It must have two DisplayPorts or two HDMI ports (or one of each) for connecting two external 4K monitors. It is also important that it has a power button that can be used to start the connected notebook directly (Asus Vivobook 16X). Ideally, it should also have a Toslink connection for connecting a Sonos Ray (but this is not essential). Any suggestions? I'd rather get feedback from other Digitec customers than study all possible docking stations individually. Thanks in advance.

Dock for MacBook Pro M4 Max Dual Monitor 5K Setup

Hello dear Community, I hope you can help me! 😊 I'm looking for a suitable dock for my MacBook Pro with M4 Max chip. It is important to me that I can connect two Samsung Viewfinity S9 5K monitors with 60Hz via Thunderbolt - at the same time, I also want to be able to use the MacBook itself as a screen. A 2.5 Gbit Ethernet port would be ideal for me (but at least 1 Gbit), and a few additional USB ports (USB-A or USB-C) would be handy for connecting and charging the mouse and keyboard, for example. However, I'm a bit overwhelmed by the large selection of products. Is there perhaps a "jack of all trades" that fulfils all these wishes? 😄 I don't need the dock until March, when I move my office. Maybe by then there will be good Thunderbolt 5 docks that are sure to deliver the desired performance. Thank you very much for your tips and recommendations! 🙏

    USB hub without fixed cable?

I am looking for a USB hub with USB-C and USB-A for my desk. I have a desk that can be raised and lowered. Because crawling behind the PC is also annoying, I'm looking for a USB hub for the desk. There are 1001 hubs for laptops with a 20cm cable. That's no use to me. I'd rather have a 2m connection cable, which wouldn't be a problem if the device simply had a USB-C input. All hubs used to have a USB-B port. The Delock 88271 looks okay, but I don't need any additional connections. I already have network, HDMI and co. in my PC. Unfortunately, you can't filter here for hubs without a fixed cable. You also can't filter by the fact that it should NOT have a network or HDMI connection. So I don't know what I have to filter for to get the products. Does anyone know of anything suitable?

Power supply performance data for active USB hubs as a filter criterion?

I am looking for a reliable, active USB hub (7 ports, USB 3.x type A, efficient charging capabilities for various devices) and am stuck in the selection process. Some manufacturers seem to shy away from publishing the detailed current/power data (max amps/watts/volts) of their power supply. This makes comparison difficult if you want to ensure that all ports can be supplied with the best amount of "juice" according to the USB specifications. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki... Is it possible for Digitec to include the power supply performance data for active USB hubs as a filter criterion in the product selection? For example, as a "max. watt per port" specification?

Dual monitoring of PC on docking station and laptop via USB-C

Hope someone hardware-savvy can give me some information, Google doesn't provide exactly what I'm looking for. I have a PC with dual monitors, but the motherboard is older and does not yet have USB-C outputs. I would like to keep my PC as an existing system via docking station to the dual monitors, but connect a laptop to the docking station via USB-C and extend the image (via monitor switch) to the dual monitors. In other words, my PC is my PC, but I can connect the laptop from work in between and use the monitors. The mouse and keyboard can of course be connected to the docking station. Does anyone know of such a setup where convenience is the trump card and is still affordable? Many thanks for your advice.

I would also like to connect my Macbook via USB-C to work on it for university. It should be possible to use the keyboard and mouse for the Macbook via a docking station. Looking for a special USB hub for Mac Book Pro M2

Hello, I am looking for a USB hub for the following requirements. Is there such a thing: I have a Mac Book Pro M2 to which I currently have a 4K monitor connected via USB-C, whereby the notebook is supplied with power by the monitor (i.e. data and power via this cable). I would now like to connect a USB hub between the two so that I have more USB ports available to connect additional devices; 2x USB-A and 1x USB-C would be enough. It is important to me that the USB hub continues to supply the notebook with power from the monitor (I don't want a USB hub with its own power supply to do this instead). Furthermore, it should still be possible for the monitor to display 4K resolution and receive the video signal via USB (only now through the USB hub). Although the notebook still has a USB-C port available, this cannot be used due to space restrictions. Similarly, the monitor has other USB ports, but they are all already occupied. For this reason, the requirement is ultimately to use only one USB-C port on the notebook and distribute it to all devices.

Docking station for HP Spectre X360 14

Hello everyone. I want to connect 2 screens (2560 X 1440) to my new HP Spectre X360 14. Laptop has only 2 USB-C ports (also for charging) and 1 USB A. I already tried 3 docking stations (G5 from HP, Targus Dock190, and a cheap HDMI 2 port replicator) and all are incompatible. I'm sure that the problem is the laptop, so is there somebody with this laptop type, that is using a working dock with 2 screens ? Thank you

Looking for a docking station for ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED RTX 3050

Hello, I'm looking for a docking station for my ASUS Vivobook Pro 15 OLED RTX 3050. It requires 150W of charging power. It has a Thunderbolt 4 port. I'd like to connect the network cable, a DisplayPort cable and 2x USB for keyboard and mouse to the docking station. Is there a model that can do all this while only connecting the thunderbolt? Thanks for your feedback

Use 2 screens with folded laptop Hyper Drive Universal USB-C 7in1 Dual HDMI Mobile Dock

Hello everyone, I bought the above docking station from Hyper for HO - but when I connect both screens to this docking station and close my Windows laptop (HP), 1 screen disappears . I can only use both screens when the laptop is open . and the second screen only runs synchronously - can it be that this item "Hyper Drive Universal USB-C 7-in1 Dual HDMI Mobile Dock (USB C) " does not support this ? If not, which one would be optimal for me in the HO, if possible very compact. Greetings Emmanuel

    Buying advice USB hub

As the variety of products and the filter options here are a bit overwhelming, I'd like to ask if anyone has any good tips. I'm looking for a USB hub with the following requirements - min 2x USB-C - min 2x USB-A - card reader - USB 3.1 or 3.2 with maximum speed (many only offer the 5Gb/s of USB 3.0) - passive power supply - if possible, a long cable to run the connections from a tower up to the table. If necessary, an extension is also possible - The primary connection can be USB-C or USB-A. I don't need HDMI or LAN, but I can live with it if the product has these connections.

usb hub for connecting iPhone, external DVD, etc.

I ordered a 4 port USB-A 3.0 hub from i-tec to connect my various accessories to my new Macbook Air which only has 2 USB-C inputs. Apparently this hub doesn't transmit power (Macbook message: USB accessory needs power; Connect "SuperDrive..." to a USB port on this Mac). So what type of hub should I buy? What's to say that the hub also works as a charger?

USB hub / docking station for gaming laptop HP Omen 16

Hello together I recently got the HP Omen 16 as a notebook which I also use for gaming. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/hp-omen-16-wf0078ng-1610-intel-core-i7-13700hx-32-gb-2000-gb-de-notebook-36060827?supplier=406802 At home I have 2 screens that I want to connect and this with the following HUB (I still had from the business notebook) https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/acer-mini-usb-c-dockingstation-usb-hub-16225416?supplier=406802 The problem is that the HUB gets very warm and after a certain time the USB connection of mouse and keyboard is lost. I assume that the HUB cannot handle this. I have a power supply directly on the notebook Do you have any recommendations for an affordable docking station / HUB for the HP Omen 16? The following is connected: 1x AOC AG273QXP via DP https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/aoc-ag273qxp-2560-x-1440-pixel-27-monitor-13901173?supplier=406802 1x AOC 24G2U/BK via HDMI https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/aoc-24g2ubk-1920-x-1080-pixel-24-monitor-12098786?supplier=406802 1x Razor Black Widow Elite 2x USB 1x Razor Basilisk V2 1x USB 1x LAN cable Thanks for any recommendations. Dock for MacBook Pro M2 (2023) & 2 external displays (HDMI)

Hi all, I am looking for a dock with which I can connect a MacBook Pro M2 (Thunderbolt/USB-C) to my two external monitors (each via HDMI). The external monitors should not be "mirrored", so in the end I want to have 3 independent monitors (1x laptop and 2x external). What do you use? Charging & RJ45 are not a must. Thanks for your suggestions.

Docking station for stationary computer and laptop

Hello together I have a computer with 2 monitors, mouse, keyboard etc. at home. My plan is to connect a USB-C output from the PC to a docking station. All my peripheral devices and the monitors are connected to this docking station. The docking station should also have a second USB-C input. So that I can plug my work laptop into the second input via USB-C and thus use the peripheral devices and the screens that I have connected to the docking station. However, as the docking station is placed in an inaccessible location, reconnecting the cables on the docking station itself is out of the question. The aim is that only the USB-C is visible to the laptop. Unfortunately, I haven't found a suitable product using Digitec's search function. Do you know of anything? Many thanks in advance and kind regards

    Docking station with USB-A power

Hi, I am looking for a simple docking station for a Lenovo or HP notebook. The docking station should have RJ45, HDMI, at least 3 USB ports and not cost too much. I have bought a lamp that needs to be charged via USB-A. So the docking station should supply at least one USB-A port with power (unfortunately this cannot be searched for at digitec and the manufacturers hardly ever state this on their website). Ideas?

Main connection to laptop: Thunderbolt These are the ports I need: at least 1 USB-C at least 3 USB-A HDMI ports or others for 2 screens Network It shouldn't be junk, but it doesn't have to cost CHF 280 either. Many thanks
