Product details

Supports the ReadyBoost feature of Windows. The most important innovation of the third USB specification is the higher speed: thanks to the SuperSpeed mode, data can be transferred at a gross rate of up to 5 gigabits per second - until now, the theoretical USB maximum was 480 Mbit/s, and even FireWire and eSATA are significantly slower. However, new cables and connectors are required for this. They remain backward compatible, so the slower modes and corresponding devices can still be used. Additionally, USB 3.0 is more energy-efficient than the older generations.
