The P120 is an affordable studio microphone for vocal and instrumental recording. In contrast to large diaphragm microphones, it has a slightly smaller diaphragm. Therefore the impulse response is better and the resolution is very detailed. Especially low voices and stringed instruments benefit from the sound characteristics of the P120 - the recordings appear very direct and present.

The P120 has a switchable bass cut switch. It serves as an impact sound filter and compensates for proximity effects. Thanks to 20 dB pre-attenuation, even very loud sound sources can be recorded.

Due to the all-metal housing and the solid workmanship, the P120 can be used as a studio and stage microphone.
