With the Anybus Communicator CAN, you can integrate CAN-based field devices into a Modbus RTU network without any modifications to the serial device. The Anybus Communicator CAN is a proven and reliable protocol converter that connects non-networked devices supporting CAN-based protocols with Modbus RTU. The Communicator performs intelligent protocol conversion and provides the CAN data to the master PLC as I/O data. It is a compact stand-alone gateway for IP20 and DIN rail mounting that requires a 24-volt power supply. It meets the current Modbus RTU specification and has been successfully tested for network compatibility.
