The ePA12 filament from eSun, based on nylon, exhibits excellent mechanical properties. With high impact resistance, tensile strength, temperature resistance, and very low moisture absorption, the ePA12 filament is particularly suitable for printing precise mechanical parts such as gears. The nylon filament should be dried before printing, with the manufacturer recommending 12 hours at 70°C. To ensure optimal adhesion, a print bed temperature of 70°C to 90°C is advised. Additionally, it is best to use an adhesion aid like our 3DLac.
Info: eSun recommends a printing temperature of 260°C to 290°C. Most conventional printers can just manage 260°C. We recommend using a printer and hotend that can withstand up to 300°C, such as the Ender-3 S1 Pro. Printing with nylon filaments is not suitable for beginners; we suggest gaining some experience with simpler filaments like PLA first.
