The compact reading head houses an omnidirectional laser optics system that captures and decodes barcodes in any orientation. This makes it suitable for demanding applications at the checkout as well as for warehouses, workshops, medical technology, and more.

The advantage of the omnidirectional scanning optics is that it projects a complete scan grid onto the barcode, allowing it to read the barcode in any orientation. The operator simply aligns the reading head with the label, and the barcode is instantly captured. The device is particularly fast, with a scanning rate of 1,333 scans per second. The scanner has a reading distance of up to 28 cm.

The Fusion 3780 is very robust: it can withstand repeated drops from 1.5 meters onto concrete without damage. With the included scan stand, the handheld scanner transforms into a presentation scanner that automatically detects when it is placed in the stand and switches to barcode sensor mode.
