Product details

USB Rover products operate over a standard Cat 5e UTP cable. The USB Rover 2850 utilizes technology that is ideal for extending USB peripherals without the need for additional software for the computer or target devices. The USB Rover 2850 product consists of two separate units: the Local Extender (LEX) and the Remote Extender (REX). The LEX unit connects to the host computer via conventional USB cables, while the remote USB device connects to the REX unit. A Cat 5e UTP cabling is used to connect LEX and REX over distances of up to 85 meters. Icron's USB Rover 2850 extension system is a two-port extender, perfect for use with USB peripherals such as keyboards, mice, interactive whiteboards, and game controllers, without the need for external power adapters. Included in the package: Local Extender (LEX) module, Remote Extender (REX) module, 2 m USB cable, quick start guide.
