The IB-RD3620 is a dual RAID system designed for fast employees with large amounts of data. Up to two SATA hard drives can be installed in the high-quality aluminium housing without tools. The fast connections (eSATA, USB 3.0) ensure high performance on PCs and MACs, e.g. for video editing or music processing.

Thanks to the temperature-controlled fan, the IB-RD3620 is quiet in operation and thus ensures an optimal environment for valuable data. The model also has a synchronised standby mode and is therefore very energy efficient.

RAID definitions for the IB-RD3620SU3

JBOD (RAID 0 Spanning) Spanning combines multiple drives into one large virtual drive, bypassing the physical limitation of individually connected hard drives. The data is written consecutively from HDD1 to HDD2.

JBOD (Single) Configuration of a RAID controller with several hard disks that do not form a network. This means that the connected hard disks are made available to the operating system individually.

RAID 0 (RAID 0 Striping) Striping combines several drives into one large virtual drive as a logical unit. The data is written to all hard drives in parallel, which leads to an increase in the data transfer rate. However, if one hard drive fails, all data is lost.

RAID 1 (RAID1 Mirroring) Mirroring is the automatic mirroring of data on several hard drives. This ensures a high level of data security. If a hard drive fails, access is still possible and the data mirror is restored once the defective hard drive has been replaced. The usable memory corresponds to the smallest hard drive.
