Styrofoam is a lightweight, very strong material made from a dense polystyrene core. It is used as a stable reflector in the photo and film industry. Even a large piece weighs little, and the light reflected from the surface is soft and even.
The Styrofoam fork with four pointed steel pins and a black coating pierces the foam core. The pin can then be inserted into a grip arm or another 5/8-inch mount to position it anywhere as a reflector to bounce light or as a flag to block it.
