Moldlay 3D Wax Filament 2.85mm for Casting 0.75kg. Moldlay is a thermoplastic filament designed by Kai Parthy, suitable for mold making for both the lost wax casting process and the production of reusable molds (permanent mold). Moldlay Filament – the original, made in Germany. The challenge was to develop a wax-like material that has low viscosity at higher temperatures while remaining rigid and shape-stable as a 3D-printed object. Moldlay not only exhibits high dimensional stability but also has an almost zero-warp effect and can be printed on a non-heated platform (max. 40°C). The ideal printing temperature is between 170 and 180°C.
