The Lindy USB to Serial Converter with COM Port retention allows the connection of serial devices with a 9-pin RS232 port to the USB Type A port of a computer. It is the perfect solution for connecting barcode scanners and other serial devices in industrial, retail, IT, and digital signage environments.
With the COM Port retention feature, the COM port settings for all serial devices are maintained when plugging in and unplugging. The assigned COM port values are saved and automatically reassigned correctly after plugging in and unplugging. This also applies when switching between different USB ports.
