The current clamp has a 1000:1 downward transformation ratio and is designed for measuring alternating currents up to 1000 A. The clamp features excellent accuracy (0.3% error, full measurement range) and a small phase shift (0.7°, full measurement range), making it suitable for measuring power, energy, and power quality applications. This high performance is achieved because the magnetic cores are made from a highly permeable FeNi alloy. The nominal termination resistance (load) of 1 Ω must be provided by the device connected to the MCC1010 and MVC1010. The output terminals of the MCC1010 and MVC1010 are protected by a voltage limiting circuit, ensuring a safe touch voltage under all rated conditions. The MCC1010 and MVC1010 are rated according to the international standard IEC 61010 for CAT IV 600 V.
