GESP+POE-IN - Passive PoE Injector with Surge Protection

Here's what a typical use case looks like. You have a mast with some antennas and a few switches on the ground. Connect the GESP surge protector there. But don't forget the grounding cable! Attach it to the rack mount, the mast, or another grounded structure. For maximum protection, you should use surge protection at both ends of long cables.
