Superficially, the new Chateau looks very similar to its predecessors. MikroTik had a fantastic launch of 5G and LTE18 in partnership with LMT, the leading mobile operator in Latvia. The Chateau replaced the usual brands, and customer satisfaction skyrocketed. Most users appreciated the improved speed and stability, as well as the abundance of useful RouterOS features and overall flexibility. Not to mention its elegant appearance, which fits seamlessly into various environments—from traditional homes and luxury residences to modern office and corporate settings.

The next logical step in the Chateau series was the refinement of wireless capabilities. With the 802.11ax wireless standard of generation 6 and Wave 2 support, the Chateau 5G ax can deliver unprecedented speeds. Compared to the previous generation, speeds in the 5 GHz spectrum are up to 40% higher, and in the 2.4 GHz spectrum, they are up to 90% higher! MikroTik has made massive improvements to the radio and antennas. The Chateau 5G ax supports 4x4 MIMO on 5G and LTE. There are 6 built-in LTE/5G antennas. A pair of external antennas provides even better wireless network coverage in larger homes, while the other enhances LTE/5G connectivity.

The modern quad-core CPU with a clock speed of 1.8 GHz, combined with a solid GB of RAM, offers strong performance for complex firewall rules, IPsec hardware encryption, multi-threading, or experimenting with advanced RouterOS features. And with the added support for advanced WPA3 encryption, you are more secure than ever.
