High-density chassis for the installation of multiple converters
The MC-1500R offers 15 slots for a wide range of PLANET media converter series. It allows for the connection of up to 15 PLANET Ethernet, Fast Ethernet, Gigabit Ethernet, or VDSL2 converters in a single chassis. The 15 slots in the 19" rack save space for fiber optic cabling, simplify the structure, and facilitate the maintenance of media conversion.

Extremely reliable design for continuous operation
The MC-1500R series supports an optional hot-swappable redundant power supply system (RPS) to ensure continuous operation. Both the MC-1500R and the MC-1500R48 come equipped with a 100-240V AC power supply and a -48V DC power supply, which are included in the package. To enhance reliability, each unit features an additional power supply slot for this optional purpose. The continuous power supply systems are specifically designed to meet the demands of high-tech facilities that require the highest power integrity.

Plug and Play / flexible installation
The MC-1500R offers flexibility in installation and a cost-effective scalable solution. With independent power supplies in each slot of the MC-1500R, each converter can be hot-swapped without interrupting other converters. Media converters and power modules can be plugged in and used at any time. Each slot of the media converter chassis can be populated with any series of PLANET media converters, including the FT, GT, VC-20x, and ICS, to enable media conversion between fiber optic, telephone lines, and serial copper lines.
