I bought the repeater to improve reception in certain rooms, not to increase the overall capacity. If you need more capacity in general, the next higher plan would be the better solution. Tip: Ask UPC about new plan mix offers. Prices change all the time, but UPC never reports this on its own. Good luck!

Cable = network cable? No, a repeater is the wrong device for an existing cable. A repeater receives an existing Wifi and sends it out again in a processed form. With this AVM model, you would not be able to plug in the cable at all because it does not offer the option to do so.
